Every year, Ballet Austin’s Fête fundraiser stands out as “Austin’s Best Black Tie” event. This year, join us at the historic Driskill Hotel on September twenty-first as we kick-off the Golden Anniversary celebration of Ballet Austin’s The Nutcracker. A-List business leaders and arts patrons will celebrate special evening of wide-eyed wonder, music and memories. Limited seating is available (only 220 coveted seats). It’s an elegant experience of fine dining, dancing and decadence that can’t be missed.
Immediately after Fête is Ballet Austin’s notorious and whimsical fête*ish – an enchanting affair in its own right. As a Fête guest, your experience continues into fête*ish, or come for fête*ish alone… Either way, the celebration escalates to another level with live entertainment and sweet surprises around every corner.
The MOD Studio is proud to be one of the 2012 sponsors of Austin’s most celebrated ball. We are excited to present the branding and logo design for Ballet Austin’s Fête, and are looking forward to the September event.
Reserve your tickets for Fête or fete*ish now (Early Bird rickets available for fete*ish are $100 until June 15)!. There are also available underwriting opportunities to become a sponsor and support this wonderful arts program.

The SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills
Given my 24/7 job is to pay attention to design, I was in branding heaven when I arrived at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills. From a branding perspective, no other property does a better, more cohesive job than this gem, hidden away on busy La Cienega Boulevard. Every single detail was thought through, from the check in process, to the logo usage throughout the property and collateral materials, to the unique positioning of the ironing board (pictured below). Quite impressive, to say the least!
Anyone in advertising will tell you that a strong brand image is far more important than a strong product. (hopefully you have both, but there’s unfortunately often more emphasis placed on the brand’s image than the product’s)
That’s why developing and building a brand is such an arduous task sometimes. And building that brand equity can take years of continual efforts to re-inforce a certain aura around your brand.
This means what you do in the beginning is incredibly important. A logo, something so simple yet so influential. This building block will set the tone and feel of the brand long before consumers even engage with the product or service itself. Next, you develop the “branding” what will all your messaging/packaging look like? What elements should remain consistent throughout?
These are the tough questions we have to answer every day.
And we recently had the opportunity to answer them for a unique client: Dave Manzer Creative Relations. He’s not just your average “PR guy” he thinks in an entirely different way about promoting your business. We had a blast helping him develop the basics of his new firm and we want to share the results with you!
